Indy is Back!

Probably the most anticipated movie of the spring – Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. The “last” movie in the trilogy will be released May 22, 2008. If the number of hits the new trailer is getting is any indication, everyone is waiting to see this movie. I was in a movie theatre last week and when the preview for Indy came on the crowd went wild.
The Last Crusade (1989) was set in 1938 near the start of World War II. “The Crystal Skull” is set at the height of the Cold War in 1957, so the character has aged in real time — 19 years.

Check out the new trailer:

How I Met Your Mother

Alicia Silverstone apparently is not appearing in the 14th episode of next season’s “How I Met Your Mother”. Instead? Britney Spears!! That show is so well written makes you wonder why she would opt not to appear in an episode. Sources say that Silverstone is a big fan of the show and just doesn’t want to appear in the same episode as Britney, saying it may be too “chaotic”.

Cashmere Mafia

Lucy Lui got her big break with “Aly McBeal” in 1997. Afterwhich she was in “Charlie’s Angles” and “Kill Bill”. She was huge. Then I guess she took a break. She returned this season in a “Sex and the City” wannabe show called “Cashmere Mafia”, which isn’t nearly as good as what it’s copying and will likely be cancelled along with “Lipstick Jungle”.

21

Kate Bosworth is in the new movie “21″. A true story about a group of MIT students who count cards in Las Vegas to pay for tuition. Hijinks ensue and Kevin Spacey causes trouble.

Sex and the City

If the number of lame spin-offs this season are any indication “Sex and the City” is huge. If you’re a girl, or have ever met one, you’ll also know that it’s huge. You’ll also know what Minolo Blancs are. Sarah Jessica Parker and the gang will be back soon in the new movie. Will it be any good or will it just be one long episode like the Simpsons Movie was?

Amy Adams in "Miss Pettigrew"

Amy Adams got her break in Leo DiCaprio’s “Catch Me If You Can”. You’d hardly recognize her now. In that movie she played a shy brace-faced girl who falls for a con man. Her last hit was “Enchanted” and now she’s in a new movie. I have no idea what it’s about, but she’s a great actress and one to watch.

10,000 B.C.

I’m not sure if 10,000 B.C. will be any good, but’s got a pre-historic babe in it. The movie looks like all the other epic movies, except all the people are beautiful, with combed hair and straight teeth – just like it probably was in 10,000 B.C. Also, notice that in her personal photos she has brown eyes and in the movie she has blue eyes?

Check out Camilla Belle as the lead babe. She’s an up and comer and one to watch.

1 Million B.C.

990,000 years before Camilla Belle (10,000 B.C.) there was Raquel Welch – the first pre-historic babe in a tiny outfit.

Saffron Burrows in "Bank Job"

You may remember Saffron Burrows as the sexy lawyer in “Boston Legal” playing opposite Jame’s Spader’s Alan Shore. If you haven’t seen “Boston Legal” yet, you’ve got to check it out. She has moved to the silver screen in the new movie “Bank Job” opposite Jason Statham.
